This stunning beauty queen from Vadodara not only won the desirable crown but conquered hearts as well. Her honesty and positivity is pretty impressive. In a candid conversation with us, Puja talks about her journey, her preparation for the APA MISS INDIA and lots more.
How old are you and where are you from? Puja Mondal
I am 20 years old, Bengali girl from Vadodara, Gujarat.
How did you start modeling?
I always had a dream of being a beauty queen and represent my country India Internationally, But as education is important I completed my 12th class and during vacations I took part in a local competition which I won and then Miss Gujarat happened and with god grace I won that too.
How are you feeling right now? Has the feeling sunk in that you won such a major event?
Winning APA MISS INDIA, gave me platform through which I will now represent India in MISS QUEEN GLOW international pageant in Venezuela so I am happy and immensely proud.
Where did that first thought about entering the pageant come from?
Got inspirationon from Susmita Sen, She’s a woman of a substance.
Was there anything you watched or read throughout the entire journey to keep you company and to motivate you?
Following self affirmation thoroughly.
What incident in your life made you realize about your passion in pageantry? Who assured you that beauty pageants are totally your cup of tea?
My mother is my role model she always taught me to believe in yourself so I knew if u believe in yourself nothing is impossible, and when I won my first pageant, It gave me boost and from that time I followed my passion.
Who is your source of inspiration and how has he/she helped you to evolve as a beauty queen?
Ritika Ramtri, India’s leading pageant coach, she trained me and transformed me into a beauty queen.
When you’re not busy modeling, what are some of your favorite things to do?
Watching useful YouTube videos, and learning something new

What does fashion mean to you?
Fashion for me means exploring yourself with an ease.
If you weren’t a model, what would you want to do?
Being a engineering student it has to be an engineer.
In your opinion which is the one dress that can never go out of fashion?
Little black dress, must for all young women, it’s always in fashion

Where is your favorite place to travel?
Origin of the voyage is unforgettable, That’s why my favorite place is my old home where I grew up and learned everything.
