When & How did you get into Fashion blogging?

I recently decided to step into fashion blogging officially because I feel like I have always had people reach to me and ask me where I bought some of my clothing pieces, or what makeup I was wearing or even for tips on how to put clothing pieces together. I think I’ve always stayed up to date with fashion without much effort because I feel like it is a part of who I am. The most important reason as to why I started my fashion blog was to show the world that mothers can be fashionable too. I think it’s important for mothers to not lose their sense of self and to feel and look good.

What is the inspiration behind your sense of style?

I don’t think I can say I have one thing that inspires my style. I would say its many things and many people. I find my inspiration in all kinds of things, whether it’s from fashion, music, and people or from places themselves. I have always loved dressing up and trying on different styles and just exploring. I think that’s one of the most exciting things about fashion you can be or dress up as who or whatever you want- every day is different.

What Has Been The Hardest Thing About Styling?

I think the hardest thing about styling is everyone is different. Certain styles look better on certain people than others. It’s all trial and error. But at the end of the day, it’s about how you feel, what makes you comfortable and what you feel confident with it.

What Has Been The Best Thing About Styling?

That it’s ever changing. Every day could be different. You dress up in one style today and go for a completely different look another day. It’s exciting and fun!

If you could have a celebrity best friend, who would it be?

Chrissy Teigen – John Legend’s wife. I love that she is just fun, I love how easy going she is and how she can pull of any style with little to no effort. And most importantly I love that she speaks her mind.

Which do you prefer, Heels or Sneakers?

Heels – everything looks more put together in heels, including your posture. Don’t get me wrong, I love a nice comfy pair of heels, but if you want to make a statement – heels are the way to go.

What brands do you currently work with?

I just started recently, so I am still building my own brand. But I have been currently working with Bellefit. It is a company that sells post pregnancy girdles- this is what I used after I had my daughter and I swear by it. It helped me lose my baby belly and it’s literally the only thing I used. Check out and use coupon code “3XDU20” to save $20. You will not regret it!

I am also working with various beauty brands that focus on using products that don’t have toxic or harmful chemicals – still in the works.

Describe your sense of style in 3 words.

Fun, changing and diverse

What is that favorite accessory that you cannot leave the house without?

Hmm… that’s a hard one. I would be between my purses or my sunglasses. I think I would say sunglasses – they always make you look chic.

Apart from fashion, what other things do you have great interest in?

I love interior design; I would definitely say it’s a passion of mine as well as dance. I used to be involved in various dance teams and competitions when I was younger and still enjoys a good night of dancing. I also enjoy giving back to the community and helping children. My husband and I make an effort to support orphanages and orphans.

What sets you apart from other fashion bloggers?

I think all bloggers have something different to offer. I believe what sets me apart is that I haven’t come across many South Asian bloggers who are mothers, who showcase their sense of fashion. I think it’s important for the world to know that mothers can be fashionable too, and that you don’t just lose yourself once you have a child. I feel that it’s almost expected for mothers to not look put together or care about their appearance. I will say it is slightly harder with a child, but it’s not impossible. Instead of grabbing another pair of joggers to put on just grab a cute pair of jeans. It takes the same amount of time to get dressed and a little bit effort goes a long way. I think looks good and feeling good go hand in hand. And I think mothers most importantly, should feel great about themselves because they bring life into the world and do so much!

Thank You so much Abhy Arul for this lovely interview
