Some people think beauty pageants are shallow parades of beauty. What do you have to say to them?
It solely depends upon how we perceive it. But to me it’s an opportunity given to women of our society to break the stereotypes and come out of their shells and bring out their potential and caliber. It definitely adds on more confidence to the women when they are walking the ramps facing the crowd with everyone’s eyes on them.
Where did that first thought about entering the pageant come from?
To be honest, I never thought to be a part of any beauty pageants and especially when you are a mother of 16 and 12 years growing up girls. Since I am a fitness enthusiast and likes to keep myself fit thus looking at this my family and friends pushed and motivated me to give it a try. And since I was to destined to be here, I was a part of it.
Was there anything you watched or read throughout the entire journey to keep you company and to motivate you?
l am fond of reading spiritual, motivational books and quotes to keep me u high spirited. I have been brought up in a spiritual environment in my family where we siblings are grown up reading and listening to Swami Vivekananda books and quotes. And also Alchemist being one of my favorite read so far.
What incident in your life made you realize about your passion in pageantry? Who assured you that beauty pageants are totally your cup of tea?
The idea of participation was planted on my head by my family specially my sister . My family n my friends all kept me motivated and high spirited throughout. And I truly believe you always get what you are destined for.
