I believe, every women is beautiful. Its just not about the outer beauty but inner as well and we women are Empathetic, Passionate, Courageous, confident, adaptable etc make us more beautiful and Strong.

How did Haut Monde Mrs India Worldwide happen to you? Did you always wish to participate in beauty pageants ?
Most of the girls always dreamt of becoming model, actor etc. And even I was and wanted to become Miss India. But since I am from a small town we didn’t had much opportunity there and also I am the only child of my parents so had responsibilities same time. Therefore, I completed my engineering, started working, got married, did MBA after marriage and tried to manage all the responsibility as a daughter and wife. But Now, after 6 years of my marriage when I saw Haut Monde Mrs India advertisement in Facebook, I thought this is the right time to live my dream as well. Then I applied for auditions and got through. I have a huge support of my Husband, parents and my friends in every step of this amazing Journey. And with all the excitement I am looking forward towards the finale which is in October in Greece.

How supportive were your parents, especially your in-laws regarding your decision to participate in a beauty pageant?
It was my parents and husband’s suggestion to go for this Pageant and they are giving their best so that I can give mine. And same goes with my In-Laws, they always let me choose and decide what I want to do. I will be always be very grateful to my entire family for this incredible support.

Do you think marriage as an institution gives more impetus to women to chase her dreams or it bogs her down with more responsibilities? Please share with us your experience
Responsibilities are always there regardless if we are married or unmarried. Yes, marriage does adds up some more to ones bucket. For me I have completed my studies, got this job and started my dance class after marriage. In Other words my Career started after marriage.
But, there are certain instances in our Society where I have seen women are not allowed to go outside the house, they are not allowed to work, their responsibility only gets limited to taking care of husband, in-laws and house. In those cases, we must make our family understand that what we want to do in our life is equally important as everything else. Ones we start loving ourselves everybody will start loving us, if we don’t take care of ourselves nobody will. We have to come out strong, love your with family but also love yourself.
